He had his first exhibition in 1977 when he also received the city of Frankenthal's "Great Art Award". He has received additional awards for his graphic arts, the Landkreis Ludwigshafen in 1980 and the Perron promotion award of Frankenthal in 1989 for his painting.

Since 1977 he has participated in many collective exhibitions and had his own solo exhibitions in Germany and since 1997 also in Sweden, among others at the Jönköping County Museum and the museums in Vetlanda and Eksjö.
